My Story

I worked for two years at the prestigious auction houseChristie’sin Rome and later I attended a course in General Education and Museum Management.

For three years, I taught a six-month course of “Renaissance and Baroque Art” to students coming from major American Universities.

For many years I have also worked for a company for Art and Culture at the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome, the System of Municipal Museums, the Scuderie del Quirinale and Palace of Expositions including VIP visitors such as at the G8 Summit in 2009.

Since 2002 I’ve worked as an art historian at the Vittoriano Museum writing texts for audioguides for temporary art-exhibitions and guided tours of representation.

I’m a licensed tour guide and am authorized to give tours in Rome and Viterbo.

The Absolute Best Adventure through Ancient Tome � � � � � Federica Gave Our Family an Unforgettable Experience of Rome! Federica was absolutely incredible and truly one of the highlights of our family’s trip to Italy! We toured the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum with her, and she had an amazing ability to make Ancient Rome come alive. Her knowledge is extraordinary, but even more impressive was how she made the history relatable, interesting, and fun for our kids. What made our experience with Federica so special, though, went far beyond the traditional tour. She took the time to show us the Rome that locals know and love. She walked us through the market, brought us to a wonderful sandwich shop, and showed us how to have an authentic Italian coffee and gelato experience. She even recommended that we visit the Jewish Ghetto for lunch, which became another memorable part of our day. Federica connected with our family in such a genuine and personal way. She quickly understood our personalities and interests and tailored the experience so that everyone—from the adults to the kids—felt engaged. We laughed, learned, ate, explored, and experienced Rome in a way we never could have done on our own. By the end of our time together, Federica didn’t feel like a tour guide; she felt like a friend showing our family the city she loves. Those personal experiences and little local discoveries are some of the memories we will treasure most from our trip. If you are going to Rome, book Federica! The Best Tour Ever! Federica was amazing! She gave us so much information on the history of the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel and she went above and beyond to give us a thorough tour, despite my husband being on a mobility scooter. An unparalleled tour guide in Rome! Federica was, without question, one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. She guided our family through both the Vatican and the Forum and Colosseum, and her knowledge was simply extraordinary. Her explanations of the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museums, and the history behind what we were seeing brought everything to life in a way that no guidebook ever could. We learned so many fascinating details and left with a much deeper appreciation for Rome's history, art, and culture. On an especially hot day at the Forum and Colosseum, Federica took great care of us, pacing the tour thoughtfully and even recommending a wonderful place for lunch before our next activity.
