We then make our way along Via dei Fori Imperiali, where the monuments of ancient Rome unfold before you. Our journey ends at the beautiful church of San Pietro in Vincoli, home to one of Michelangelo’s most powerful masterpieces: the monumental Moses. Its extraordinary realism and intense expression inspired the famous legend that Michelangelo, overwhelmed by the sculpture’s lifelike presence, struck its knee and exclaimed, “Why do you not speak?”
